Question by rheainscotland: What kind of digital camera?
We would like to buy a digital camera, mostly for taking pictures and putting them on the pc, then sending to friesnd and family. We would like to be able to print some of them out as well though, on our printer or in the shops
We have no idea which kind are best, I have looked at some guides to see what kind would be best, in terms of pixels etc so I am a little more informed, and we thought around 3 or 4 pixels would be best for us, with optical zooming.
How much should we be prepared to pay, we are not sure of how much is fair, as there are loads of different cameras with different specs on them
and what should be the best kind to go for, we are new to digital photography and have never owned a digital camera
any ideas appreciated
We use ebay a lot so i have been looking on there – but they range in price a lot
our pc and printer are both hp

PLEASE TRUST ME!! Go for the Casio Exlim, it’s super slim, reasonable price and can take video as long as the SD card can store.

Question by ednapoole2007: i am not wealthy. I would like to become a good digital photographer. is there a free course now?
i would like to download a free digital photography course. There was one by ivillage
Best answer:
Answer by Scarlet
You can study digital photography at college. The level of course varies – you can find beginner or recreational part time courses. If these are evening courses you will normally be charged an amount for it. These fees can vary according to your circumstances but if you are on benefits it should only be a token fee.
If you want to study full time at FE level these courses are generally free as long as you have not studied at that level before.
Check your local college for details.

My mother is turned 70 so it needs to be uncomplicated to use so not too many features and have a large easy to view screen. Preferably with a rechargeable battery.

Question by Swampy_Bogtrotter: Whats the best way to go about getting my photography published as postcards, greeting cards and calendars etc
I’m a keen amateur photographer and I personally feel my material is of a marketable quality, but don’t know how to go about it.
What’s the best way to start earning a few extra bob from my photography?
Antoni, Artistic flair is not a problem. I’m a classically trained artist with a background in book illustration, so I have the eye.

Hmm, well you can try applying to places like Hallmark, or at least contact them, see what they say.
Or you can try places like cafepress.com, as a quick and easy way of get your work out there, but that takes a lot of self-promotion.
Good luck!

Question by Billybob: Can anyone recommend a good online guide for SLR photography?
I have a fairly basic SLR camera. Not digital though. Does that matter? I inherited the camera and don’t have the manual. I want to learn more about the camera and photography in general – does anyone know a good starting point?
